Richard Rowlands
Managing Director
Richard has been working in the construction industry for over 25 years, beginning as an apprentice carpenter under one of Christchurch's building industry giants at the time, Charles Luney.
Richard established Rowlands Building in 2005 and has made his mark in the construction industry with his reputable team that has grown to a substantial size who are well known for their quality, vast experience and knowledge in the industry.
Richard is passionate about producing honest, hard working and experienced carpenters in his company who produce quality work on time and on budget for their clients.

Justin Rickerby
Site Manager
Justin has worked his way up in the industry in the past 13 years from labouring, qualified builder to licensed building practitioner having worked on architectural, residential and now commercial builds for Rowlands Building. We are privileged to have had Justin on our team since 2013.
He has managed projects such as Kaiapoi Library, New World Halswell, West Melton School and much more. Justin knows how to lead the team on site to get the job completed.
Heath Rickerby
Site Manager
With over 12 years of experience managing residential and commercial projects within Australia and the UK, Heath has been apart of the team since 2009 and more than proven is aptitude in all areas of the construction industry. His leadership and organisational skills, plus ability to pay close attention to the details also make him a highly valued member of our team. From small scale home building projects to complex construction jobs for clients such as Novotel and Canterbury University, Heath’s hands on approach has guaranteed long lasting results time and time again.
Mick O’Connor
Site Manager
Mick has been apart of the team at Rowlands Building since 2014. He plays an integral part in the business with experience in German style joinery, both making and installing. Mick is also experienced in wood turning. He is hard working and believes in a high standard of workmanship which is something we pride ourselves on at Rowlands Building.
